Barbara is a native French teacher, experienced in working with students of all levels – from beginner to A level and IB level, both as a foreign language and as a mother tongue language. She is passionate about her work and her main ambition for her students is for them to grow in confidence and develop the ability to be independent speakers and linguists.

Barbara read French Law at University of Clermont Ferrand and transferred her skills to French teaching when she moved to England 26 years ago.

Jackey has a BA in Administrative Studies and System Analysis & Design from University of Winnipeg, a PGCEi from University of Nottingham and postgraduate courses as part of her MBA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Organisational Behaviour & Quantitative Method from Heriot-Watt University.

Jackey has worked with UNICEF and has lived in different parts of the world, which has given her an understanding of cultures and people internationally. Part of Jackey’s work with UNICEF involved Mathematics and inspired her passion for the subject. Jackey loves bringing Mathematics to everyday life.

Jules read History and Educational studies at Christchurch College, University of Kent, gained a PGCE from Brunel University and a Masters in Education and Professional Development from University of East Anglia. Over the span of her teaching career, she has specialized in Humanities and Environmental Studies. Jules has experience of teaching students who study whilst on film sets, and can sometimes be found working with students in the most interesting of locations. Jules is passionate about the environment and during the school holidays she runs a Forest School.

Maisie graduated from University of Oxford with a first in English Language and Literature. She has always been passionate about sharing her love of literature with others. Maisie encourages her students to read widely and in-depth, to think analytically about texts and develop independent opinions.

Alongside English, Maisie has worked with independent Heritage properties and The National Trust on Art-History based projects, looking at how paintings can be used to illuminate social history. She is delighted to share both of these fields of expertise to her students.

Maria is a native Spanish teacher. She has a BA in English Studies and a MA in Teacher Training in Compulsory Secondary Education, specialising in Modern Languages from University of Extremadura, in Spain.

Maria is fascinated by learning and teaching and is particularly passionate about sharing her love of Spanish language and culture in her lively lessons. In her spare time, Maria likes to travel and explore new places and cultures.

Meena has BSC in Psychology and has trained as a specialist teacher (Level 5 Dip SpLD). Her specialist areas are dyslexia and autism. She believes that teaching students self-reflection and growth mindset skills enables them to ‘think big’ and achieve their goals. She teaches study skills and empowers her students to learn strategies which they can use throughout their academic journey.

Alongside teaching, Meena provides SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) advice to both parents and teachers. She also enjoys yoga and cycling with her family.

Mona is a passionate and experienced teacher. She has taught Science, Technology and Mathematics (STEM) subjects at secondary school and university.

She has studied Biomedical Engineering (Bachelor) and Computer Science (Bachelor and Master of Science in The Netherlands and Sweden, respectively).  She enjoys being with students, motivating and engaging them in STEM subjects. 

Roberto is a native Italian and passionate Latinist. He has been teaching Classics and Italian for more than 10 years to students at school and university. He has a BA in Classics, a MA in Classical Languages and Ancient History from Macerata University and a PhD in Ancient History from Newcastle University.

Sandy is a native German teacher, although she is also fluent in English after moving to London 30 years ago. Sandy trained to teach German as a foreign language at the Goethe Institute and she has an advanced certificate from TEFL. She is passionate about teaching both languages and uses various teaching techniques to provide engaging lessons and instill her students with a love for languages.

In her spare time, she loves going on long walks, reading a range of literature and spending quality time with her family.

Waleed has an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI).

Waleed’s focus is on improving grades, whilst helping students to apply their subject knowledge to solve everyday, real-world problems.
